My Son Thaddeus loves to help out around the house. Working in the kitchen is no exception. However, using traditional kitchen tools can sometimes be difficult for his little hands.

This is why I was thrilled to be given the pleasure of reviewing the Curious Chef 27 Piece Foundation Set. The first thing I noticed was that the quality is Awesome! When we pulled the items out of the box and started checking them out, we were very surprised on how un-toy like they were. I think the quality is better than some of similar items we use in our kitchen. The best part was that all of them were designed so that my son’s little hands could operate them.

A few days after receiving the kit, we decided to put it to work. And, just to make the experience extra special, my husband and Thaddeus, decided to bake me a “Surprise, Fake, Birthday Cake,” I don’t know where Thaddeus came up with a “Surprise, Fake Birthday” but whatever – it’s cute.

Thaddeus loved the entire experience. He had to use all the tools and love wearing the apron and chef’s hat! He looked just like a junior version of the really thing. Once the cake was ready to bake, we got out the timer and set it. The anticipation was killing him as he waited for the finished product. The chocolate scent wafting from the oven smelled so good! Once the cake was out, we couldn’t get him to stop sniffing the final product!

In the end, it was a wonderful family memory and let’s just say that my son can make one heck of a cake!
